Diet for gastritis

Diet for gastritis: what to eat and what not to eat?

Gastritis is one of the most common diseases of our time. Frequent snacks and meals on the run, a wide range of fast food, food poisoning - all this can cause gastritis. This is probably why many people now suffer from stomach problems. But how to deal with them?

It is not necessary to constantly take medication for this, the main thing in treatment is a proper and well-chosen diet, which will not cause irritation of the mucous membranes and aggravation of the disease, but will simultaneously saturate the body with all necessary macronutrients and vitamins.

Basic rules

The main task of a diet for gastritis is to adhere to a diet that ensures normal digestion. The table of gastritis treatment (daily) should contain:

  • 90-100 gr. squirrel (and 60% of animals),
  • 50-80 gr. fat (75% of animals)
  • 300-320 gr. carbohydrates.

Dietary rules for gastritis:

  1. Knowledge of the measure. In gastritis, the saying "after a meal there should remain a feeling of slight hunger" is more relevant than ever. First, the feeling of satiety occurs only 10-15 minutes after eating, and secondly, a full stomach does not cope well with its functions, especially with gastritis.
  2. Diet. First, you should monitor your food intake (at the same time). Secondly, in gastritis, food should be broken down, 4-5 times a day, but at the same time it is necessary to refuse snacks (they cause "excessive" secretion of gastric juice and reduce its production during breakfast / lunch / dinner, which violates food processing and assimilation). you should turn off reading while eating, watching TV and "running on the go".
  3. Rest after eating. After each meal you should rest for 15-20 minutes (no need to sleep). You can read a book or listen to music.
  4. Chewing food. Prolonged chewing of food (at least 25-30 seconds for each piece) contributes to a more thorough mechanical processing of food, which facilitates the work of the diseased stomach. In addition, hunger is satisfied faster in this case (which prevents overeating). Rejection of complex dishes

The total energy value should be 2200-2800 kcal.

High acidity diet

In this form of gastritis, it is recommended to use a diet aimed at thermal and mechanical sparing of the stomach, as well as to reduce gastric secretion.

Permitted products:

  • casseroles, cheesecakes, dumplings, cheesecakes in the oven;
  • milk, especially with tea, all kinds of fermented dairy products, including yogurt and yogurt, fresh cottage cheese puree;
  • fish, meat or chicken soups cooked in cereal soup;
  • dry white crackers, vegetables and butter, milk soups with cereals or pasta;
  • steamed omelets, eggs in a bag, vegetable dishes in the form of mashed potatoes, puddings, souffles, weak tea, sweet fruits and berries in jelly, creams and compotes;
  • veal, lean beef, chicken in the shape of a meatball, puddings, zraz, steamed cutlets (1-2 times a week, it is allowed to eat lean cooked meat in pieces).

Prohibited products:

  • fatty soups of mushrooms and meat;
  • carbonated drinks;
  • smoked meat with spices;
  • raw vegetables, pickles, pickles, spicy vegetable snacks, lemon juice;
  • black bread.

The purpose of the diet is to aggravate gastritis with high acidity to normalize the functioning of the intestines and stomach, limiting thermal, chemical and mechanical stimuli.

Low acidity diet

The purpose of a diet for gastritis with low acidity is to stimulate (moderate) production of gastric juice, as well as mechanical sparing of the stomach.

Prohibited foods for hypoacid gastritis:

  • restriction of pearl barley, legumes, millet;
  • fresh bread, bakery products ("heavy" food for the stomach, complicates chemical and mechanical processing);
  • oily and salty fish;
  • vegetables and fruits with coarse fiber (white cabbage, beets, radishes, cucumbers, peppers), mushrooms;
  • fatty meat, meat with fascia (films), canned food, smoked meat (inadequate mechanical processing of food, excessive release of hydrochloric acid);
  • spicy and salty varieties of cheese, milk - neutralizes hydrochloric acid;
  • berries with cereals or thick skin (raspberries, strawberries, red currants, gooseberries, figs);
  • spices and herbs (irritate the gastric mucosa), as well as chocolate, grape juice, alcohol;
  • lard and lard, beef, lamb (which are not absorbed due to low production of hydrochloric acid, difficult to digest products).

Food should be taken after the beginning of the secretion of hydrochloric acid, that is, in the first phase (advertising or food programs, beautiful pictures of food, "delicious" conversations can cause the release of gastric juice).

Diet for gastritis in the acute phase

Special attention should be paid to the diet for gastritis in the acute phase. The requirements for the products are the same as for all types of this pathology, but stricter.

In the acute form of the disease it is recommended:

  • low-fat cottage cheese;
  • yesterday's white bread, without pastries and muffins;
  • only lean meat, cooked and mashed or finely chopped;
  • soups exclusively on vegetable soups;
  • non-acidic compotes and jellies;
  • soft-boiled eggs or in the form of a steamed omelet;
  • vegetable porridges from the range of baby food, it is also good to borrow fish and meat porridges from baby jars;
  • teas or infusions without sugar.

In the period of immediate deterioration from the menu, they are completely excluded:

  • products with preservatives, flavor enhancers, artificial colors;
  • raw vegetables and fruits;
  • milk and any dairy dishes;
  • all kinds of pastries except yesterday's bread;
  • margarine, oil and butter;
  • pearl barley;
  • all kinds of beans and beans.

Also, all general restrictions for the products themselves and the ways of their preparation remain in force. The crisis usually passes in 3-4 days, and then the diet becomes more varied, in accordance with the general recommendations for patients with gastritis.

May I . . .?

What is allowed and what is not? List of basic foods and beverages.

  1. Fish - only marine species of low-fat marine fish such as cod, cod, hake. Among river fish, pike and pike are the best. It is better to completely reject canned fish and fried fish, during their production all the useful properties of any fish are lost, and more spices and preservatives, carcinogenic substances can be obtained. As with meat, fish is best steamed, limiting spices.
  2. Coffee - it is absolutely impossible to drink black coffee with gastritis on an empty stomach, even in large quantities, especially with increased stomach acidity. With low acidity, coffee or cocoa with milk are allowed, but only in limited quantities.
  3. Meat - you can eat with gastritis, but only with low-fat varieties - beef, veal, chicken, rabbit. Steam cutlets are especially useful in gastritis, because the meat is finely chopped and steamed. If it is only steamed meat, then it should be chewed very carefully and not overdone, because any meat product burdens the stomach. Naturally, neither smoked nor uncooked smoked sausages and sausages can be used for gastritis.
  4. Cheese - spicy or salted cheeses are not allowed for any gastritis, even ordinary hard cheese should be eaten in limited quantities on small slices.
  5. Bananas - Can bananas be used for gastritis? This is a healthy fruit that contains little fiber, is soft, easy to digest and contains a lot of nutrients needed by the body. And although diet no. 5 prohibits fruits like dates, bananas, many gastroenterologists believe that their moderate consumption can not harm and bananas should and should be eaten with gastritis.
  6. Watermelon is something you can eat with gastritis, but very little. With any acidity, you can eat only 1-2 slices.
  7. Melon is almost the hardest herbal product not only for the stomach, but also for the pancreas and gallbladder. The digestive tract of even an absolutely healthy person finds it difficult to cope with melon, so anyone suffering from gastritis should give up such a dubious product.
  8. Chocolate - it is better to completely give up this product.
  9. Nuts, seeds, legumes - no types of nuts should be used for gastritis, the same goes for seeds and legumes.
  10. Honey can be used because it has wound healing properties and is considered an established and useful product. However, everything is moderate, especially since many people may be allergic to bee products.
